16 October 2025 — Ao Po Grand Marina in Thalang District today
hosted its annual Firefighting and Fire Evacuation Training 2025 to
ensure top safety standards ahead of the high season.
The training was officially opened by Mr. Suvit Phansiam, Deputy
Governor of Phuket, with participation from Mr. Siwatch Rawangkul,
Chief of Thalang District, Mr. Amnuay Phromrueang, Director of the
Rescue Resource Support Division, Disaster Prevention and Mitigation
Centre Region 18, as well as representatives from government agencies,
private sector partners, and marina staff.
Mr. Thana Rangsrisutthiphon, Director of Ao Po Grand Marina Co., Ltd.,
explained that the programme is designed to equip staff with essential
skills in fire prevention and emergency response. “Our goal is to
enhance safety awareness, ensure employees can respond effectively in
emergencies, and help reduce potential loss of life and property,” he
said.
Following the opening, participants took part in hands-on
demonstrations using firefighting equipment and simulated fire
evacuation drills. These exercises allowed attendees to practice realistic
emergency scenarios, improving readiness and confidence in handling
real-life situations.
